Celebrating Books Week!

Hi Friends!

Need some fun activities for Celebrating Books Week? Your students will love being “invited” to a book celebration. I allow my students to bring their favorite books from home. Then, I pull out all of the pillows and stuffed animals from my classroom library and I scatter them around the classroom. Your students will LOVE finding a cozy spot and reading away! I provided you with a color and black/white copy of this fun invitation.

(Make sure you actually download the file or else it will look funny.)

The Cat's Out of the Bag!

It's that time of year again. I hope you have a great time reading and rhyming with your littles this week. What is a celebration without a cool hat? Print these on white cardstock, have students color and cut out, and staple on a sentence strip and Wha La! Instant characters. Click the picture to take you to you to the download.

Love and virtual hugs!!

Silly Willy World and What's in the Box?

I have a couple freebies I wanted to share with all my freebielicious friends and I really hope you like them. The first is a fantastic word wall game that is perfect for March. I hope your kiddos love it as much as my kiddos do.

And I have yet another freebie to share with ya! It is a real word versus nonsense word sort game that I use whole group and then move into literacy centers after the children become familiar with it.

I hope you enjoy these freebies!!

If I Were President

This is a fun writing activity I plan on using on Tuesday.  The students will draw themselves in as president and write about what they would do if they were the president!  I think the kids are going to get a kick out of putting themselves up in the ranks with these influential presidents!

Please stop by Simply Kinder for your free download!

Have a great long weekend everyone!
