Cuddle Bug Measurement

Two days in a row?! I KNOW...right! :-) Although the flu has hit my house this weekend, I have been very productive! I am determined to have my Math Stations totally "Da Bomb" Did I just say that?! Oy! My Kreative In Kinder friend is rubbing off on me. Love you Crystal! SMOOCH!

Here is another Math Station that I made using my good friend, Nikki (Melonheadz), Love Bug Set! It is a measuring station. Students use the "net" ruler to measure the bugs and then record their answer on the response sheet.

I hope that you like it! You can grab your copy by clicking on the title page below!

Cuddle Bug Add The Room

Hello Freebielicous Followers!! It is January and we have only had one "cold day" in Nebraska so far! WHAT WHAT?! I know! I love snow days! I have taught my kiddos the ritual for a snow day the following day and everything. So, come on snow! I know some of you are just getting pounded with snow. I just want enough for a snow day :-) LOL! Stay healthy and warm friends!

On MLK day we had a district inservice. Part of the day was centered on Math. The one thing I like about those days is it gets me energized and a little excited about trying something new. I am in the process of revamping my Math block. I have made a few new Math items. The first is one I am going to share with you!

This is a fun add the room activity! Students find the cuddle bug, add the two dice and record their answers on the response sheet. You can grab your freebie by clicking the title page below.

Restroom Review

How do you handle restroom breaks at your school?  I've always been jealous of teachers with restrooms in their classrooms because truth be told...I do NOT like restroom breaks.  They take up so much time from our day.  So, I decided to do something about it.  I put up a Restroom Review bulletin board in the hall outside of the restroom where we line up.
It's such a great way to have learning resources available to us while we review important classroom skills.
You can head on over to my blog to see some more pictures and to download the headings for free.

Make Your Own Interactive Number Line

What is it about those numbers in the teens and twenties that makes them so hard for kindergarteners to recognize? Many students can master the numbers beyond 30 without issue, but put a flash card of "12" in front of a few of them and those same children are instantly confused.

I created a fun interactive number line for numbers 1 thru 30 to help struggling students manipulate and discover those tricky numbers for themselves. Creating the number line was easy: I simply printed, laminated, and cut apart the pieces. Then I attached a magnet to the back of each piece and displayed them on my classroom whiteboard for students to mix up and put back in order. My students love visiting the number line and they learn so much about numbers while they interact.

FREE Religious Emergent Reader about the 5 Senses

I have a fun freebie to share with my friends in Catholic and Christian schools. I just concluded a study in my classroom about our 5 senses and how we use those senses to discover God's world. I always try to integrate Religion topics across the curriculum and I have a great resource to share with you today. "God Gives Us Five Senses" is my newest Interactive Sight Word Reader. It provides students with an opportunity to read, learn to spell number word "five" and remember that everything we have is a gift from God.
